Software Developer

Skila provides business
intelligence and knowledge management solutions to leading companies
in the pharmaceutical, medical device and biotech industries. We are
looking to recruit a key team member to support and further develop
the Skila applications. This position is based in Morris Plains, New
Jersey.
A qualified candidate will be working with a small competent team
of senior developers to continue and enhance Skila's knowledge solution.

| Responsibilities |
- Develop software specification from high level user requirements.
- Develop, prototype and validate the application architecture using J2EE Architecture.
- Evaluate new technologies and integrate with existing tools/technologies for continuous enhancement of Skila applications.
- Attending meeting and advising on technical issues, including enhancement f easibility and impact, estimates for changes, and status of current work.
- Research technology required for projects to aid in software selection and trouble shooting system errors.
- Supporting the architects in technical decisions and analyses: hardware, software and application and architecture design.
- Interact with the QA Team reviewing the status of product release.

| Specific Qualifications |
3-4 years experience designing and developing Knowledge Management applications.
Working with collaboration and/or Knowledge Manage and/or Portal tools.
Education
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Statistics or equivalent.
Master's Degree in Engineering a plus.
Skills Required
Experience working with Application and Web servers.
Full knowledge and hands-on experience of the following technologies is a must:
JAVA/J2EE, JSP, XML, HTML, DHTML, JAVA Script, SQL, Oracle |
