Skila’s Susan Dorfman to Co-Moderate Pharma Sales & Marketing Regulations Panel Discussion At Wharton Club of NJ Pharma Event

Morris Plains, NJ, June 26, 2008 – On July 24, 2008, Skila’s Susan Dorfman, VP Global Marketing, will co-moderate a Wharton Club of New Jersey Panel Discussion entitled “Business Implications of Pending Pharma Sales & Marketing Regulations”.

“Numerous states have imposed regulations that have made current US pharmaceutical sales and marketing practices more challenging by creating a need for an aggregated, transparent and centralized view of every pharmaceutical customer interaction,” says Susan Dorfman. “This is something we must prepare for, as we will certainly continue to face more state or national-level regulations and controls in areas such as physician spend, data availability, rep licensure requirements and pharmaceutical detailing/marketing controls.”

The panel of key stakeholders which includes pharmaceutical manufacturers, physicians, service and advisory organizations, and state representatives will discuss passed and pending legislation and the implications for the healthcare industry.

Confirmed panelists include:

  • Thomas Abbott (President, i3 Pharma Informatics)
  • Bill Buzzeo (VP/GM Compliance Solutions, Cegedim Dendrite)
  • Dave Carver (Senior Director, Sales Operations, Schering-Plough)
  • Justin Dillon (Associate Director, Federal & State Reporting, Merck)
  • Naomi Grobstein, MD (Family Health Center of Montclair)
Susan Dorfman, VP Global Marketing, Skila, and Mark Hurwich, VP Professional Services, marketRx, will co-moderate the discussion.

This is a debut program for the Wharton Club of New Jersey and its Healthcare Special Interest Group.  This event will take place Thursday, July 24th, starting at 6:00 p.m. at Cegedim Dendrite’s Executive Briefing Center in Bedminster, NJ.
